It was extremely cool to use the BatoBus as our personal Taxi riding up and down the Seine River. BatoBus Paris was a great way for us to get around Paris without having to ride in actual Taxis all the time. On this day, we jumped on at the Eiffel Tower stop and rode it down to see Notre Dame.
Day 10 – Exploring the Eiffel Tower
On our first full day in Paris, we took a trip to the Eiffel Tower and stopped on all 3 floors. The views were amazing and the tower itself is stunning. I feel we took some great pictures of the tower but I must admit, they do not do this work of art justice. Do yourself a favor and go see it for yourself. It is breathtaking. C’est Magnifique!!!
Day 9 – Eiffel Tower Sparkle Show at Night
The video does not do this light show justice. Five minutes of awesomeness!
Day 9 – Adios Madrid. Bonjour Paris!
On the eighth day of the trip, we were up early and left Madrid and headed for Paris. Surprised to see full on pigs feet in the middle of the airport in Madrid. Arrived in France, the final country on our trip to a lovely day. The clouds were so blue and the clouds so white, they appeared to be painted in the sky.
Finally the Tour Eiffel. BONJOUR PARIS!
Day 8 – Day Trip to Ávila, Spain
Day 7 – Sightseeing, Reina Sofía Museum with Picasso/Dali
After a much needed siesta, we headed back out to see some more sights in Madrid. We visited el Parque de Madrid por La Puerta España. Such beautiful gardens, a lake and the Palacio de Cristal (Crystal Palace). That has to be my best shot of the trip so far. Magical and amazing.
Finally we ended up at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía which housed Pablo Picasso’s masterpiece Guernica with the Pity and Terror, Picasso’s Path to Guernica
exhibition. Stunning! If you are ever in Madrid, this is a must see. I was also allowed to photo some great paintings of Salvador Dali.
Day 6 – Sightseeing in Madrid
Day 6 – Museo Del Prado in Madrid
After a lazy morning recouping from our fabulous time in England with Jeremy, Alice and the kids, we ventured out into Madrid. Lots to see at the Museo Del Prado with a stunning exhibit of Goya artwork, a temporary Greek exhibit of beautiful marble statues, some as old as 10 BC and Tesoros de la Hispanic Society of America.
